Bosler’s Honey Bees: A Family Legacy of Quality Honey
Since 2009, our family has been dedicated to producing high-quality honey and supporting the local beekeeping community through sustainable practices and exceptional service.
Warm Bees. Happy Bees.
If you can’t find us during the winter months don’t panic, we are in Southern Georgia with our bees. That being said, our honey is still primarily made and harvested in Ohio. However, the sporadic northern temperatures from November to March are a recipe for disaster. So in order to keep our hive numbers high and bees healthy, we take everyone down to Georgia and Florida for the winter. Most people think it is just because Angie loves the beach (while that is true) it’s also because we can pollinate the orange groves, blueberry and watermelons fields during those months. So not only is the weather better, but we also are feeding our bees more naturally until we can come back up for Ohio’s floral blooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

The true definition of raw is “not cooked or altered.” Our honey is never cooked or altered, it is only warmed enough to pass through a filter to get any hive debris out before the bottling process. When it comes to being “local” most people believe anywhere within a 50 mile radius is local to you. More importantly, it is that you consume honey that is being pollinated from the same flora in your area. This will help build your immune system to any allergies you might have.
Generally, no. Honey is full of antibacterial properties, therefore, as long as you are storing in a sealable counter in a dry environment your honey will never go “bad”. However, your honey may crystalize- but this is completely reversible. The sugars in honey form crystals over time, but by putting your bottle of honey in a warm bath of water will undo this process.
